A bilingual bot for Muslim communities. Users pick their city and language, then get a reminder at every prayer, on Telegram or WhatsApp.

The features that took real engineering

Reminders that scale
Instead of checking every user every minute, prayer times are precomputed into a minute-by-minute lookup. Each minute costs one cheap read, then the message fans out by city.

One pipeline, two platforms
Telegram and WhatsApp share the same notification flow and only split at the final send.

Targeted broadcasts
Admins reply to a message with simple flags to target platform, language and city. Messages go out in batches to stay within platform limits.

City changes that stay consistent
Moving to a new city unsubscribes the user from the old city's reminders and subscribes them to the new one in a single step.
